
The Job in a Nutshell
As a Studio Instructor at Gurasu House, you are the essential support system that keeps our workshops running smoothly. Your role is to ensure that every participant feels welcomed and that the studio environment remains pristine and organized. You will take lead in managing the workshop preparations and provide instructions to all participants.
What You’ll Do
✨Workshop Support & Guest Relations
- Guest Hospitality: Greet participants upon arrival, assist with registration, and ensure they are comfortably settled at their workstations.
- Instructional Lead: Lead as an Instructor by providing participants clear instructions on safety protocols and technical guidance while having an enjoyable experience.
- Safety Monitoring: Maintain a watchful eye on workshop safety, ensuring participants use tools correctly and wear appropriate protective gear.
🚀 Studio Operations & Maintenance
- Turnover & Reset: Efficiently reset workstations between sessions, ensuring all tools are cleaned, glass supplies are replenished, and the space is tidy.
- Inventory Assistance: Help monitor stock levels of raw materials and alert the Workshop Manager when supplies are low.
- General Upkeep: Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain the studio’s premium aesthetic, including cleaning glass surfaces, floors, and display areas.
🤝 Sales & Community Engagement
- Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with Gurasu House products and upcoming workshops to answer guest inquiries and facilitate in-studio sales.
- Community Engagement: Engage with curious participants and encourage deeper learnings with lampworking.
Requirements
- People-First Mindset: A warm, professional, and proactive personality with a natural inclination toward customer service.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-On Learner: While no prior lampworking experience is required, you must be willing to learn. Training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable being on your feet for the duration of a shift and handling workshop equipment.
Remuneration
- $10 – $14 per hour – Progression from training period to instructor proficiency.
- CPF contributions
Working Hours
Would require at one weekend commitment and preferably a Friday.
9:30 AM to 7:30 PM
Commitment of at least 18 months. Due to the extensive training involved, this position is only for committed long term individuals.
